Problems
- Light-Mid Crude Oil
- Hydrocarbon Values ± 9810 ppm
Project Summary
The impacted soil was located in the province of Saskatchewan and was contaminated with petroleum hydrocarbons. The targeted remediation goals were 1,000 ppm in the C11-C22 fraction and 4,000 ppm in the C23-C60 fraction. On-site, there was a total of approximately 750 m3 to be treated. The scope of work was to initiate treatment of the soil by way of bioremediation using a windrow method with frequent turning and was completed within a 44-day timeframe.
Results and Advantages
- Achieved successful remediation (610 ppm in the C11-C22 fraction and 939 ppm in the C23-C60 fraction).
Duration and Cost
