Project Summary

The impacted soil was contaminated with petroleum hydrocarbons. The targeted remediation goals were the Alberta Tier 1 hydrocarbon guidelines for fine-grained surface soil using a natural area land-use. On-site, there was a total of approximately 5,842 m³ to be treated. The scope of work was to process material by means of our dual-drive Allu bucket attachment.

Results and Advantages

• Achieved successful remediation of Ethyl-Benzene, F1 (C₆ - C₁₀) and F2 (C₁₀ - C₁₆) petroleum hydrocarbons (results were <0.10 ppm, 87 ppm and 332 ppm respectively).

• Project completed in 2 months (4 months ahead of schedule).
